University of Virginia GIS Survey Posted, April 14, 2009
The University of Virginia’s Office of Process Simplification is working with a team from the offices of Facilities Management, Space and Real Estate Management, and the University Architect to increase efficiency and accuracy in the production of University maps. We are interested in how your institution’s GIS office(s) is organized, and what products and services it provides.
We have assembled a relatively short survey that begins with some demographics about your institution and then leads into your GIS and mapping efforts. We have produced a PDF of the Surveymonkey questionnaire; you may view it here. One or two of the questions may require a little research (e.g., Amount of new construction work for the last three years in GSF), and you can do that offline. You’ll see we are asking you to select a range for most questions, not come up with an exact number.
Follow this link to participate in the survey: Link to the University of Virginia GIS Survey. Obviously, we only need one response from each institution.
CFTA will publish to its constituents the results of the survey upon its completion. Thank you for your time, and we hope this information will be useful to your institution as well.
